Adreinne Lyle's Equestrian Profile

Ever since I was a child I have had the dream of becoming a top international dressage rider.  Becoming an athlete on this scale requires endless dedication and hard work.  I have spent my life doing everything in my power to work towards becoming the best rider and horse woman I can be.

For as far back as I can remember, I have known that horses were my one and only true passion in life.  I started out riding western as a young kid, then joined our local chapter of the United States Pony Club, and competed in eventing for several years before falling in love with dressage.  Knowing I wanted to become a horse trainer, I attended Washington State University to study business management and veterinary medicine.

I came to Debbie McDonald in the summer of 2005, and worked off my board and lessons as a working student.  Soon this position grew into a full time job.  Currently I am riding several young horses, and two horses at the Grand Prix level:  “Wizard” (an 11 year old Oldenburg gelding), and “Felix” (a 13 year old Hanoverian gelding).  I strongly believe that both of these horses have incredible talent and the potential to become top international horses for the United States.  My goal is to try out for the World Equestrian Games this year, then the World Cup in 2011, and the Olympics in 2012.

But the reality of this sport is that having a good rider, a good trainer, and a talented horse is simply not enough.  It takes an incredible amount of funding to care for these horses and compete them at this the top level.  I am so excited to have been accepted into the Medal Equestrian Foundation, and I am eternally grateful to all those who have helped support my dream of becoming a top international competitor!
