Some notes from Alison Larson:

2007 was a very exciting year for the MEF horses.  As I have done for the last 17 years, I did my annual migration to Wellington, Florida for the winter show season.  Wellington hosts some of the best shows in the world during the winter months, and the most respected trainers bring their training stables with them to Florida to train and compete.  Legretto, a talented and USEF Developing listed Grand Prix horse, had a very good show season.  He won all of his open Grand Prix classes and Grand Prix Freestyle classes, with scores in the Freestyle up to 76%.  Legretto also competed in a couple of international rated shows and finished in the top 1/3 of the classes.  Legretto ended up National Reserve Champion for the United States Dressage Federation’s Grand Prix Freestyle horse of the year.  This is quite impressive considering this was his first season as a true, but still green Grand Prix horse.

We have some very exciting news:  In Dec.2006 a new horse arrived from Germany, Dubai, owned by MEF.  Ken and Alison traveled to Germany to meet up with their friend, Hans Jurgen-Meyer, to find an additional international quality horse for MEF.  We brought home a very talented and beautiful horse by the stallion Di Versace out of a Ehrentusch mare.  Dubai is one of the nicest horses that Alison has ever ridden.  He has settled into his training program and will debut in Wellington 2008.  Alison will be traveling south again very soon with Legretto and Dubai for the winter months, and the rest of Alison’s training stable will also be joining her there (16 more horses!).  Legretto is set to try out for the 2008 Olympics in March of this up coming year.
